The history of the Penraat Family has been a difficult one. From Jaap Penraat's daring efforts to rescue Jews from Nazi occupied Holland and Jettie Penraat's years in Japanese POW camps with her young daughter during World War II, to the hideous injustice of the present which has seen Noëlle Penraat's children (Jaap and Jettie's grandchildren) taken away from their family and their home. Throughout the years, from each generation to the next, the Penraat Family continues to exemplify strength and survival in the face of evil.
